3G

3G racks are the third generation of AMCO’s adaptive enclosures for IT environments. They are available in RU heights of 42, 44 and 47, panel widths of 19″ and 24″, and depths of 42″, 45″ and 48″. The 3G can be ordered with or without full-length power panels for 0RU, tool-less power strip mounting and cable management. Racks are available in your choice of 11 standard durable powder coat color finishes.

Mounting Channels:

Mounting Channels

Mounting channels are adjustable, feature an M6 (universal) hole and have individually numbered RUs for easy equipment mounting. They are available in the same rack heights as the 3G racks. Mounting channels feature a durable black, powder coat finish.

Panels:

Side Panels

3G side panels mount flush to the sides of a rack and are available in the same heights and depths as the corresponding rack sizes. All side panels feature 2 finger latches that make removal and mounting simple. They can also be used between racks as a thermal barrier while still having the capability to be joined together with the side panels mounted in place. Side panels have a durable powder coat finish and are available in your choice of 11 standard colors.

Trough side panels are used externally to close off sides of racks that have vertical cable trough accessories (vertical cable troughs, trough spacers or cable wiring spacer kits). Trough side panels mount to cable troughs are available in 11 standard colors and feature a durable powder coat finish.

Top Panels

3G top panels are available in solid, vented and BTA4 (200CFM) models. All top panels feature cable egress ports with edge guards and dust covers. 3G top panels have a durable powder coat finish and are available in your choice of 11 standard colors.

Face Doors

Curved and beveled doors are face mount, reversible and feature easy on/off spring pin hinges. Doors are available in your choice of 11 standard colors and come with a durable powder coat finish.

Note: Doors can accept fan panels for thermal load balancing. Face mount doors add 3 inches to the depth of the console.

Shelves:

Shelves

Stationary shelves mount to the front and rear of the mounting channel and are available in solid or vented models. They are load-rated at 250 lbs. Stationary shelves feature a durable, black powder coat finish.

UA series shelves are light duty and cantilever mount to the front of the mounting channel. The shelves are 19″ wide, 18″ deep and available in the following heights: 1RU, 2RU, 3RU, 4RU and 5RU. Load ratings depend on RU height of shelf (i.e. 2RU shelf has a 100 lb. load rating; 4RU shelf has a 140 lb. load rating, etc.)

Retractable Shelves

Retractable shelves are available in solid or vented models and are load-rated at 233 lbs. Retractable shelves feature a durable, black powder coat finish.

Cable Management:

Vertical

AMCO power/cable panels are used for 0U mounting of vertical power strips or cable management at the rear of the 3G rack. These panels are 6” and feature a series of key-hole, M6 square, and .250 round holes punched into a pattern for tool-less power strip mounting or cable management. Power/cable panels are available in the same RU heights as corresponding racks and feature a durable powder coat finish.

Cable lacing strips are available in the same RU heights as corresponding 3G series racks and have a 5” width. The punch pattern in the panel accepts a variety of cable tie-down options, including C-rings and velcro straps. Cable lacing strips have a durable, black powder coat finish.

Cable rings easily mount to M6 holes in power/cable panels or cable lacing strips and provide an immediate tie-down point for cabling. Sold in packs of 5.

Cable Troughs

The 3G rack series features a 6” wide vertical cable manager that is 10” deep and mounts along the outside of the data cabinet. It is available in all corresponding 3G rack heights. This trough features a 1RU steel finger bracket kit that mounts vertically to the side of the rack and routes large bundles of cabling within the rack. Vertical cable troughs are available in 11 standard colors and feature a durable, powder coat finish.

Our internal cable trough is placed inside the rack to provide a raceway for cable bundles and drops.

Trough Spacers

Cable wiring spacer kits feature a simple 6” wide access panel design that can be easily removed to manage cable drops or power strip mounting between two racks, or at the end of a row. They can also be used in conjunction with vertical cable troughs or trough spacer panels, to create the necessary 6” space width to finish off a cable trough design. They are available in the same RU heights as the corresponding racks, in 11 standard colors in a durable powder coat finish.

Trough spacer panels feature a simple “u” design are used to cost-effectively create an additional 6”depth for cable drops between two racks, or at the end of a row. They can also be used in conjunction with vertical cable troughs or cable wiring spacer kits to create the necessary 6” space width to finish off a cable trough design. They are available in the same RU heights as the corresponding racks, in 11 standard colors in a durable powder coat finish.

Fan Panels

AMCO fan panels are available in a two-fan or four-fan models, feature a 5’ power cord w/ plug and can be mounted to all 3G series vented doors except curved doors. Each 115v BTA4 fan has 100 CFM of cooling. Fan panels feature a black durable powder coat finish.

AMCO Enclosures understands the importance of power in today Rack environment. We offer a select grouping of standard vertical and horizontal 15A and 20A power strips for typical day to day designs. We can also provide metered, monitored, switched satellite PDU’s and environmental units – in expanded 30A -120A models. A variety of cord lengths are available as well as other options.

Base Plate

3G base plates are available in a solid model that features dual brush strips for cable egress. Dual brush strips keep dirt and dust out while providing a seal for the inside rack. Baseplates mount to the inner frame flanges at the bottom of the rack. They are available in the same rack widths and depths as the 3G racks. Baseplates are available in your choice of 11 standard colors with a durable powder coat finish.

Side Struts

Multi-formed side struts are required for mounting channels within the 3G series rack. Choose from the full-length strut that provides full front-to-rear adjustments or the power panel side strut that is used when power panels are part of the rack design. Both feature M6 and slotted holes for cable management. Side struts are available in 11 standard colors and feature a durable powder coat finish. This strut can accept the HK-CR1 ring kit accessory that includes 10 qty 3.42” x 1.38″ tool-less cable rings.

Blanking Panels

AMCO blanking panels close off unused RU’s in the rack to optimize cold-air deployment within the rack. Blanking panels are available either flat or formed and feature tool-less mounting. Blanking panels feature a durable powder coat finish.

Chassis Guides

Chassis guides mount to the front and rear face of the mounting channels and have a 2” x 2” profile. Chassis guides have a load rating of 125 lbs. per pair and feature a durable, black powder coat finish.

Casters

Provisions are included in all standard 3G racks for caster mounting. Four casters per frame are recommended. AR-CK (Low-profile) are not available with brake or rigid features. Complete mounting hardware is provided.

Combination Handle

Combination handles provide an additional layer of security as they feature a 3 number locking code that you can set. Handle features a master key override that can be reset as required. Combination handles have the same swing-handle attributes as the original handle in a durable black finish.
